Latisse® is the first and only FDA approved prescription treatment for lash enhancing technology, helping those with inadequate or insufficient eyelashes to grow them thicker, fuller, and longer. Treatment involves the daily application of Latisse® over a 16 week period, followed by an application every 2-3 days until desired results are achieved. Latisse® is thought to work by affecting growth in the anagen (growth) phase of the eyelash hair cycle and works in two important ways: increasing the length of lashes and increasing the number of eyelash hairs. A clinical trial of the product resulted in patients with 25 percent longer lashes, 106 percent fuller lashes, and 18 percent darker lashes after 16 weeks of treatment! Individual results vary, but improvements can be seen in as early as 8 weeks.
