Restylane® is designed to reduce deep facial wrinkles and remove fine facial lines. It is also used to enhance lips and cheeks, and to provide volume where facial tissue has been lost over time. Hyaluronic acid works by restoring volume to areas of the face that may have become depressed, and there is little chance of allergic reaction. During laser resurfacing, a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth and eyes. However, it is also effective in treating facial scars and areas of uneven pigmentation. Laser skin resurfacing may be performed on the whole face or in specific regions, depending on your individual needs.
