Education and Experience
Dr. Whiteman received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He completed his plastic surgery residency at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Whiteman then completed Fellowship training at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in advanced techniques of cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction.
Dr. Whiteman is double board certified as a plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and holds membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). In order to provide patients with the latest in surgical techniques, Dr. Whiteman offers advanced procedures including minimal-incision endoscopic surgery and state-of-the-art laser treatments, as well as standard and ultrasonic liposuction.

Dr. Whiteman has not merely been serving the Atlanta community as a cosmetic surgeon since 1993, he has also helped to form support groups between his breast reconstruction patients and breast cancer survivors. He has been working with the foundation since they began their fundraising as Volley for a Cure in 2000, and was the VolleyFest Spokesperson in 2005. Dr. Whiteman also has a special interest in helping his weight loss patients and is determined to provide all patients with the most advanced plastic surgery techniques and technology.
