New cosmetic treatments hit the market all the time, but rarely are they as exciting and as potentially-beneficial to patients as the Croton Oil Peel. The Croton Oil Peel, sometimes called a modified phenol peel, can provide outstanding facial rejuvenation for patients who wish to look and feel younger again. This treatment can help reduce many of the most common signs of facial aging including wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, dulled skin tone, and more. Below I have answered some common questions about the Croton Oil Peel.

SPSHow does a Croton Oil Peel differ from other chemical peels?

The Croton Oil Peel is an especially strong type of chemical peel. Due to how deep it is able to penetrate the facial skin, a Croton Oil Peel is able to provide amazing, long-lasting aesthetic results after just one treatment. Because it is so strong, some patients may need more recovery time after a Croton Oil Peel (generally one to two weeks before returning to work) than other types of chemical peels. But in my experience, the quality of Croton Peel results are worth it.

How long will it take to notice the results of a Croton Oil Peel?

Every patient is different. However, it typically takes about two weeks from the time of a Croton Oil Peel before the initial results become visible. While the results may seem to be impressive after a month or so, one of the great things about the Croton Oil Peel is that the results only continue to improve for months following treatment.

Can a Croton Oil Peel be combined with other cosmetic procedures?

Absolutely. It has become quite popular in my office for patients to add a Croton Oil Peel to popular plastic surgery procedures for the face like a facelift or eyelid surgery. Combining a Croton Oil Peel with cosmetic surgery can help both achieve even more comprehensive results, while cutting back on total recovery time needed after undergoing these procedures separately.

Can a Croton Oil Peel be performed as an in-office procedure?

Yes. However, some full-face peels may be performed in the hospital. Additionally, Croton Oil Peels that are performed in combination with plastic surgery procedures can be done in the hospital. We will discuss the location of the treatment during the initial consultation.

I hope you found these answers helpful. The Croton Oil Peel can be an outstanding way to help turn back the clock on facial aging and achieve a more refreshed look.
