man-consults-with-doctorNo one likes going to the hospital. In fact, having to have the procedure performed and potentially stay in a hospital afterwards is one of the biggest reservations that many people have about undergoing plastic surgery. This is why I am happy to perform many cosmetic surgery procedures from the comfort of my own. With this in mind, I thought it would be helpful and instructive to answer a few common questions about in-office plastic surgery and how it can benefit my patients.

Question 1: How is an in-office cosmetic procedure more convenient for patients?

Actually in many ways. For instance, since patients will already be existing patients of the plastic surgery practice, they can avoid filling out all additional paperwork before surgery that will be required at a hospital or other surgery center. More importantly, it’s often far more convenient to schedule your procedure with a plastic surgery practice. Scheduling it elsewhere requires working around available times and the schedule of other doctors due to anesthesia.

Question 2: What costs does having a procedure done in-office help me avoid?

One of the best things about in-office procedures is that they help patients save money by avoiding additional fees that are often associated with plastic surgery. This includes hospital fees for the operating rooms, anesthesia fees, some medications, post-surgical care, and more. And while the total cost of an in-office procedure may be less, I always assure patients that they will not be sacrificing anything in terms of quality or safety by having their surgery done in the office instead of a hospital.

Question 3: Is there a limit on what kind of cosmetic procedures can be performed in-office?

I offer a wide variety of cosmetic surgery procedures for the face, body and more that can safely be performed in my office. This includes facial rejuvenation procedures like eyelid surgery and liposuction of the neck. Additionally men who experience gynecomastia can undergo male breast reduction surgery in-office. During the pre-surgery consultation appointment, I will explain which procedures are eligible to be performed in-office to ensure my patient is aware of all of their options and if they are a candidate.

I always want plastic surgery to be as simple, comfortable, and convenient as possible for my patients, and I’ve been so glad to see more and more people opting for in-office cosmetic procedures in recent years.
