As plastic surgery for men continues to be on the rise, there is perhaps no procedure that has seen a bigger increase among male patients in recent years than eyelid surgery. And I get it. No one wants to look old. And eyelid surgery has a special ability to help rejuvenate the appearance of the face, in a discreet and subtle fashion that many male patients prefer. Today, I wanted to go more in-depth on eyelid surgery for men and the procedure’s unique ability to help men fight off common signs of facial aging.

There are many things that can make the area around a person’s eyes look old before their time. Loose or sagging skin on the eyelid can create creases over time that alter the natural contour of the upper eyelid, and can even impair a person’s peripheral vision. Other common issues that affect this area include bags under the eyes, fat deposits that can make the lower eyelids look puffy or inflamed, and “hooded” upper eyelids. I am able to use eyelid surgery to remove this excess skin (and fat when needed) and recontour the eyelids to restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance. As an added perk, these procedures can be performed under local anesthetic, saving the patient thousands of dollars on anesthesia and facility fees.

When performing male eyelid surgery, I am able to utilize specific techniques that help preserve the patient’s more masculine facial characteristics. Check out the video below where I discuss how I perform eyelid surgery on male patients:

When trying to find the right plastic surgeon to perform your eyelid surgery, it’s important to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon, and confirm they have considerable experience working with male patients.
