It’s common for patients to be anxious about their results before undergoing a cosmetic surgery procedure. Regardless of what type of surgery you are preparing for, it’s normal to want to know what you will look like following your cosmetic surgery. While we can’t look into the future, we can provide the next best thing. Here at Southern Plastic Surgery, I use new Crisalix 3D Imaging technology to give patients a preview of what results they can expect from their plastic surgery.

Crisalix 3D Imaging is a software application that uses virtual reality to create a projection of the potential results of a plastic surgery procedure. Using Crisalix during a plastic surgery consultation helps me illustrate what the patient’s respective procedure is capable of while helping establish realistic expectations for their aesthetic results. Crisalix can be used for a large variety of cosmetic surgery procedures including cosmetic breast surgery, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, and more.

Although the technology seems advanced, Crisalix 3D Imaging is actually very simple to use. I begin by taking a photograph of your body and inputting it into using your personalized Crisalix account. Every patient has their own account which can be accessed from their smartphone or other device. Once the photo is submitted, you will be able to see virtual projections of what you could possibly look like following your cosmetic procedure. For instance, Crisalix can show breast augmentation patients what they may look like with different breast implants to help determine which implant size is the best choice for their aesthetic needs. Crisalix 3D Imaging can be easily customized to match the needs and curiosities of any patient to help assist in their decision-making process.

In my experience, patients love being able to visualize their aesthetic results before their procedure. Crisalix helps patients feel more informed and confident when deciding if cosmetic surgery is the right path to reaching their aesthetic goals. Using Crisalix can help me better calibrate and customize a patient’s procedure to their desired outcome. And since they can access their Crisalix account from their own devices, patients can get feedback from close friends and family members before their procedure, if that is something they want.

Medical technology has come a long way over the last decade. I pride myself on keeping my office as up-to-date as possible to help ensure that every patient I work with has the best experience possible with their cosmetic surgery.
