Patients who seek to rejuvenate some aspect of their appearance with cosmetic procedures have more options today than ever before. While I am a board-certified plastic surgeon, I also provide several renowned nonsurgical cosmetic treatments that provide their own unique benefits to patients. When choosing between plastic surgery and nonsurgical alternatives, it’s important for patients to consider what exactly they are trying to achieve. To help explain this in more detail, I am happy to discuss what certain plastic surgery procedures and nonsurgical treatments may be able to help my patients accomplish their goals and expectations.
Loose skin, lost volume, and excess fat that accumulates on the face over time can drastically alter how a person looks and feels about their appearance. This is why facial plastic surgery procedures like the facelift and eyelid surgery are so consistently in-demand. However, nonsurgical cosmetic treatments for the face have also become extremely popular in recent years. Whether you are considering a cosmetic injectable treatment, like Botox® or facial fillers, or my signature Croton Oil Peel to resurface the facial skin, many patients are able to achieve outstanding facial rejuvenation without undergoing surgery. In many cases, a patient will combine a facelift with a Croton Oil Peel to achieve even more comprehensive results.
Fat Removal
People who seek to improve their body contour by removing unwanted fat from certain areas may also choose between liposuction and nonsurgical fat removal methods. Liposuction is highly effective for removing pockets of fat that accumulate in areas like the abdomen, flanks, back, arms, and more. Additionally, I am able to re-inject this fat back into a patient’s body to help rejuvenate certain areas that may be lacking in volume. However, some patients may prefer to undergo nonsurgical fat reduction. SculpSure® is FDA-approved to remove stubborn fat by utilizing controlled heat that penetrates below the skin to specifically target fat cells. Additionally, Kybella® Fat Removal can provide my patients with a nonsurgical alternative for removing submental fat around the neck that creates the appearance of a double chin.
Nasal Reconstruction
Rhinoplasty surgery (sometimes known as a nose job) is very popular with both men and women. The procedure is intended to help patients alter their facial appearance by changing the size or shape of their nose. Although I also perform nonsurgical (or liquid) rhinoplasty with facial filler injections in place of surgery, patients should know that this method is only intended to help smooth out issues on the surface of the nose and cannot alter nose’s size or shape.
Regardless of which procedure you ultimately choose, surgical or nonsurgical, my team and I strive to provide every patient with the first-class care and outstanding aesthetic results that they deserve.
