having-bandages-removedI always love hearing back from my patients in the years following their cosmetic surgery procedure. Receiving this feedback gives me the comfort and satisfaction of knowing that my patients are happy with the results that I was able to provide for them. It also allows future patients to know that they will be in safe hands when they visit our practice for the first time. So in the spirit of sharing, I thought it would be helpful to present this spotlight plastic surgery testimonial that I received from Myisha, a Southern Plastic Surgery patient who unexpectedly had her life changed with breast revision surgery.

The goal of every breast augmentation surgery is to provide the new, improved breast contour that the patient desires and for these results to last for many years. However, certain factors like natural changes that occur over time, certain complications, or the desire for additional changes to the breasts can lead to the patient feeling dissatisfied with their breasts. Breast revision surgery is intended to help in these cases by removing or replacing the breast implants with new ones that better fit the patient’s aesthetic preference.

Keep reading to hear Myisha’s unique story in her own words to better understand the impact that our practice was able to make on her happiness and quality of life:

“I had a breast augmentation with a different plastic surgeon that went wrong when I was 23-years old. It was my 4th surgery to correct a complication in my right breast. My implant wound up being exposed and had to be removed. I was left with a completely deformed chest and told I could never withstand another surgery. I had searched about every 5 years and been turned away by at least 10 to 15 other plastic surgeons. I had completely given up. Fast forward 20 years later, I was visiting Dr. Whiteman for a tummy tuck procedure, not my breast. At the last minute during my consultation appointment, I took my bra off to show him my breast so he wouldn’t be surprised. He took one look and said, “I’m fixing these.” I cannot put into words the new lease on life that I have. My breasts are beautiful and finally look normal! I wake up everyday on cloud 100. I stop and feel my own breast 15 times a day. Dr. Whiteman has erased years of shame, and embarrassment. He is truly a miracle worker. Southern Plastic Surgery is the only place I will ever recommend.”

It’s so incredibly rewarding to hear this from a patient. I’m so happy to know that Myisha was so positively impacted by her time here with us.
