For anyone concerned about looking old, the area around the eyes should be a top priority. Common aesthetic blemishes like bags under the eyes, drooping eyelids, and wrinkles can age us before our time. Thankfully, there are a variety of cosmetic procedures, both surgical and nonsurgical, that can treat the eyes and help patients achieve a more refreshed, younger-looking appearance. I have outlined some of best available options for patients who want to turn back the clock by rejuvenating the appearance of their eyes.

When working with a patient who is interested in altering the look of their eyes, the first step is to gauge the patient’s hairline, forehead, eyebrow positioning, and upper and lower eyelids to determine what procedure (or procedures) will be recommended to help provide the results that the patient hopes to achieve. If there are visible fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes, Botox® Cosmetic Injections can be used to relax the muscles and smooth the texture of the skin. Our new Croton Oil Peel can also help exfoliate and smooth the facial skin to reveal the most beautiful, glowing version of yourself. A brow lift procedure can be a great solution for patients who would like to alter the positioning of their eyebrows. Lastly, eyelid surgery is incredibly effective for both male and female patients. By removing pockets of fat and excess skin from the eyelids, I am able to correct several of the most common aesthetic issues that affect this area of the face.

Check out the video below where I discuss the most commonly-performed cosmetic procedures for the eyes in more detail:

When performed by an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon, these procedures can often be combined for patients who seek more comprehensive rejuvenation. This is something that we can discuss during a plastic surgery consultation.
