Carrying extra weight over time can cause the skin in the upper arm area to become stretched and loose. Once the weight is lost, it can be impossible to address this loose skin without the help of arm lift surgery. Undergoing arm lift surgery after weight loss can help remove this excess skin from the upper arm area to create a more trim, fit arm contour.
Arm Lift Surgery cannot prevent future changes that may negatively impact the appearance of a patient’s arms. For instance, if a patient experiences considerable weight fluctuation or pregnancy after they have undergone arm lift surgery, they may again experience loose skin and excess fat in the area. Arm lift surgery also cannot stop the effects of natural aging in the upper arm area as the years go on.
