Like many of the cosmetic surgery procedures that I perform, eyelid surgery is intended to help both men and women improve their appearance. In fact, here in my office, I would estimate that I perform roughly as many eyelid surgery procedures on male patients as I do on female ones. It’s natural to want to look younger and undergoing eyelid surgery can be a simple way to address certain signs of aging around eyes that can make anyone look old before their time. This is why I wanted to take some time today to discuss eyelid surgery for men and the incredible benefits this cosmetic procedure can often provide.

Small pockets of fat that develop in the eyelids over time can make a man’s eyes look heavy or tired. Eyelid surgery can help by removing this fat, as well as excess skin, from the upper or lower (or in some cases both) eyelids. I understand that many male plastic surgery patients highly value privacy and discretion. With this in mind, it’s helpful to note that the results achieved with eyelid surgery are often quite subtle. Additionally, men with busier schedules do not have to worry about taking considerable time to recover following their procedure. I often perform eyelid surgery under local anesthetic and the patient can often return to work within 2 or 5 days after surgery.

Check out the following video where I go into more detail on what guys who are interested in looking younger should know about eyelid surgery:

I hope men considering this procedure found this helpful and informative. The patient satisfaction rate following eyelid surgery is extremely high and the results are very long-lasting. Perhaps this is why eyelid surgery is consistently one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures year in and year out.
